Richard Feynman
Be enlightened by this modern day genius / magician (scientist actually). Richard Feynman revolutionized Quantum Electro Dynamics (which is basically what makes your computer work). He was a scientist of the same stature as Einstein. He solved the mystery of the Challenger accident. He had a lot of intelligent things to say about many non-scientific topics. He was a fun guy. He deserves to be honored, and now he is -on the net.

As far as I understand this, it depicts two electrons, interacting with each other backwards in time: at moment 6 a quantum (sort of a unit of energy) arrives at the electron on the right changing its direction, before it left the electron on the left at moment 5. It turns out a whole bunch of real phenomena can be explained this way. Why explain things at all? Well, when you understand something, you might be able to actually do something useful with it.

Latest pictures taken by Hubble Space Telescope
The HST is in excellent working order, and it produces some absolutely stunning pictures. You will usually find several new pictures every month or so.

Hourglass shaped nebula surrounding a dying star. This sort of shape is very common among dying stars.
